CONTENT COMPLAINT

If you wish to register any complaint in respect of any content available on ZEE5, kindly register the complaint at https://www.zee.com/content-grievance-redressal/ by providing the below mandatory information, in order to take cognizance of the complaint.

NOTE:  Only queries related to Content, such as “classification of content”, “age rating of the content” and/or “any specific portion of content” that you have reasons to believe is in breach of the Code of Ethics provided under Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, shall be resolved through this portal. Any other queries/issues, such as Subscription related, Video not playing, app related issues on ZEE5, needs to be directed to our Help Centre portal

Concise details of the complaint

  1. Please note that in the absence of the complaint not filed in the aforesaid format and/or incomplete and/or misleading and vague in nature, the complaint will be considered as “invalid complaint”.

  2. Please use our Help Centre portal for any issues relating to subscription, account, billing, technical issues, renewal / cancellation and/or any other issue that you are facing.
 
CONTENT COMPLAINT REDRESSAL MECHANISM  
  1. All complaints shall be received in the aforesaid format.
  2. Once correctly received, all complaints will be acknowledged within 24 (twenty-four) hours.
  3. The complaint will be duly reviewed and verified by our Grievance Officer and shall be addressed at the earliest, however no later than 15 (fifteen) days from the receipt of the complaint.
  4. ZEE5 is a member of the Self-Regulating Body Indian Broadcasting Foundation.

CONTENT CLASSIFICAITION

1USuitable for all.
2U/ A 7+Suitable for user aged 7 years and above and can be viewed by user below the age of 7 years under parental guidance. The content may be slightly mature and parental discretion is suggested.
3U/ A 13+Suitable for user aged 13 years and above and can be viewed by user below the age of 13 years under parental guidance. The content may be more mature and realistic. The language, expression and depictions may be more mature.
4U/ A 16+Suitable for user aged 16 years and above and can be viewed by user below the age of 16 years under parental guidance. The violence can include more graphic acts, including self-harm and acts of sexual violence. Sexual content and depictions of nudity may be more adult as well, but not excessively graphic. Use of crude language and drug use.
5ARestricted to adults (18 years and above). This content is suitable for adult viewing. The themes, depictions and level of content is mature. Graphic nature of any depictions may be much more extreme than any other rating category.

  1. How do I make the complaint?
    A complaint must be made in the format as stated hereinabove in English. All particulars must be specifically laid out. 

  2. What can I complain about?
    A user can complain regarding the content classification, age rating of the content, and/or any specific portion of the content that the user have reasons to believe is in breach of the Codes of Ethics under Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. 

  3. Can I complain about advertisement shown on ZEE5?
    The Content Redressal Mechanism does not cover advertisements shown on ZEE5.
